SELANGOR TO PUBLISH NAMES OF THOSE APPROVED TO BUY LOW COST HOUSE IN THE INTERNET

The Selangor State Government will consider the possiblity of publishing names of those approved to buy low cost house in the website of Lembaga Perumahan Dan Hartanah Selangor (Selangor Housing And Property Board). They will be published for a set period 2 weeks after being approved for the public to scrutinise.

The names of the development will also be published.

It is hoped that with this proposal only those eligible will be able to buy. There is a shortage of low cost houses in prime areas like Ampang and Petaling Jaya, therefore any abuse must be prevented so that the needy will not be left out.

Publishing the names will deter any fraud or abuse.

If approved by the Excos, this proposal will be implemented by the 1st of July.

Currently only families with a household income less than RM2,500 per month are allowed to purchase these houses.
